Downtown Main Street feels it's our duty to share what we feel is a secret weapon for local entrepreneurs, existing and aspiring. Red Wing Ignite's STARTUP Ignite Program, with its supporting services. The STARTUP Ignite program, summarized below, provides funding, education, coaching, and connections to anyone with an idea, who is in the early stages of a startup or wants to start a new venture within an existing business. Find what connects with your situation and take action. Technical Assistance Funding is available to enable startups to procure technical talents needed to advance their business. The E1 Ignite Cup 2021 is a Virtual Shark Tank for local emerging startups which provides a platform to present their ideas/business to other entrepreneurs, investors, and regional leaders. The winner automatically advances as a Semi-Finalists in the MN Cup. Last year's Ignite Cup winner, Shrpa, won $10,000 in the 2020 MN Cup and 2019's Ignite Cup Winner, Busy Baby, won $60,000 in last year's MN Cup and was featured recently on Shark Tank! As part of the Entrepreneurs First (E1), Red Wing Ignite can introduce you to an ecosystem designed to enhance regional connectivity among builders and stakeholders in 11 counties within southeastern Minnesota (SE MN).
