Attention Business Owners
Trunk or Treat is right around the corner! Third St and Bush St will be closed for this event to make it safe for all of the kids who will be “trunk or treating”. If your business or organization would like to participate in this event with a Trunk, please email dawn@bodyhealingpower.com. To participate, you will need to bring your vehicle downtown no later than 2:30 pm. Please open and decorate your trunk, and hand out candy or treats to all of the children dressed up in costume. You may advertise your organization or business with signage, but we do ask that no signs be placed on the sidewalk.
There is a $20 fee to participate if you are not a member of Downtown Main Street and $10 if you are a member. Please send payment to our office before the event. Payment before the event is required. Last year we had approximately 1,700 kids, so please be prepared for more attending this year. If you want to hand out anything to the parents, expect around 500+ parents that day also.
We are expanding this event in ways that will hopefully spread out the kids and get them engaged further beyond just the candy. Please also encourage them, if there is a line, to go to trunks that do not have a wait. We are still finalizing, but plan on having horse drawn wagon rides, dancers from Fusion Dance, the petting zoo from the Burnside Pluckies 4-H group, stories read from the Library, photo booth area, pumpkin carvers, and train rides from Happy Hill.
Again, if you would like to participate with a Trunk for this event, please let dawn@bodyhealingpower.com know by Oct 1stth. She will forward maps to you with your Trunk location so you will know where to park your vehicle. Payment for the Trunk must be received by October 15th to confirm your space registration.
